Passion for fashion: Guerin show inspired by materials that could be recycled Guerin Prep student Aliza Aguada models a garbage bag gown designed by Ashley Delgado during the Project Greenway Fashion Show on Feb. 24 in River Grove. The show featured several outfits made and modeled by the students from recycled materials. Guerin College Prep senior Sam Stocco tapped into his passion for fashion on Feb. 24. Stocco helped organize and create outfits for the Guerin Prep Project Greenway 2017 Fashion Show in the Guerin auditorium. “I wanted to get super involved, since it’s my senior year,” he said. “After school each day, I would go to the fashion lab and work on my designs.” Guerin teacher and fashion show organizer Suzanne Giacotto said the inspiration for the show came from materials that could be recycled. Giacotto explained that the students created clothes from pop tabs, water bottles, repurposed clothing, old T-shirts and scarves, newspapers and other recyclable items.
